Looking forward to Restoration!
The times are heavy, I know. As far as I can say, regarding America’s slip into systematic sin and depravity, I would have no idea how to “fix” it. Would you?
I think that is actually a great place to be. Why? Because we are now in a place where our bank accounts can’t do it. Our clever speaking and party tricks of politics won’t cut it.
Only God
You will remember your sins and cover your mouth in silent shame when I forgive you of all that you have done. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken! - Ez. 16:63
Over and over the gracious Almighty God warned his children. Now we have those words to speak over our country today.
This is what the Sovereign YHWH says: Because you have poured out your lust and exposed yourself in prostitution to all your lovers, and because you have worshiped detestable idols, and because you have slaughtered your children as sacrifices to your gods, Ez. 16:36
Are we guilty, as ancient Judah was? You bet.
We have entertained evil spirits through culture and aligned with evil.
We have bowed to false idols in various forms.
We have slaughtered countless little ones in the name of convenience, choice, mother earth, Asclepias, and more.
So, America, if you see your enemies gaining footholds, do not wonder. Do not scratch your purple-haired head. Very simply, YHWH has likely lifted His restraining hand. You are effectively feeling the weight of judgement at the hand of your enemies. This is nothing new. Just like Jerusalem in Ezekiel’s day, your lovers will turn on you. And there you will be… Naked and afraid.
Listen to the damage prophecied to Israel in those days and compare with our current vulnerabilities:
Destruction
The very idols they bowed to were to fall.
Stripped naked.
Wealth stolen.
Mobbed.
Stoned and cut.
Houses burned down.
What is the main problem with Israel in this time and, in my opinion, USA in our time?
Not Taking Our Vows Seriously and Breaking Covenant
Keep in mind, YHWH does NOT break His Word. It has always been man to do so. So, when we take it lightly, we tend to take our word lightly. Many believers are guilty of this today.
We are missing the reverence that is needed to keep His Word as a priority.
But, Here’s The Halleluyah
When we see our sin and remember our deeds with shame, we will find restoration of that bond, that covenant relationship with YHWH, our gracious Father.
For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it. Yacov (James) 1:23-25
We will never see the real reason for our decline until we see our sin for what it is - breaking fellowship with God.
We will never bring life back into our purple mountains’ majesty until we surrender to King Messiah.
When we repent, and turn to God, this country will look back with a sense of remorse and will pursue a path of renewal. We will see prosperity and provision like never before. Not because we are awesome, or anything like that. It’s just that we will finally (or, perhaps, once again) realize that He is awesome.
He restores us in the same way. He can build us up from our low state of sin and make us new creations. This country can be a New Land of opportunity and promise.
May it be so, in the Name of Yeshua.
Let me know if you can think of another time in which a country, or state has seen God’s hand of protection withdrawn? Did the people repent? What was the result?
I hope you have a great weekend. I have recently finished a short play about Esther, designed for churches and small groups. If you purchase the downloadable version, you will:

Enjoy a valuable resource for celebrating Purim/Feast of Esther
Be blessed by the prayers of Mordecai and Hadassah, which can be useful for such a time as “this.”
Even though these verses refer primarily to Israel, America will suffer similar consequences. We will not be immune from God's judgment. Thanks for posting this!
